It's the car I leave behind when I pick up different vehicles to test each week, and even though the odometer only shows about 37,000 miles (60,000 kilometers) most of those were racked up on the highway and took a heavy toll on the tires that have been on the car since new.

Got these tires for my Volvo XC90 and theyve been performing great. They were a bit more expensive than I expected, but theyve been worth every penny. Theyve got good treadwear so far and Im expecting them to last a long time. 

If youre looking for quality tires, Id definitely recommend these.

So I threw these CS5 Ultra Touring tires on my Lincoln MKZ, and wow, what a difference! I’m driving around Freeport, IL, mostly on highways, and the ride is incredibly smooth and quiet – way better than the Michelins I had before. The handling, especially in wet conditions, is fantastic. After 17,000 miles, they still look almost new. I got them from Tire Rack and the installation was quick and easy. If you're after reliable and comfortable tires, these are a great choice. No complaints so far, they’re holding up great.

Due to the asymmetrical tread pattern they work very well on my car. I'm pleased with handling, grip, braking, everything in the wet and in the dry. The ride is smooth and quiet. And treadwear is good so far.

What is bad?
I'm dissatisfied with the tire.I have bought several sets of these Cooper tires over the last 3 years because of the fast treadwear. I have to drive a 80-90 miles a day for a work. I've never got anywhere close to the mileage they were rated though I've rotated and balanced them as needed.

    I love my Cooper CS5s. They are exactly what I was searching for in an all-season, touring tire. They are super quiet, have a long life expectancy and provide fairly agile handling for a touring tire. The soft sidewall is obvious when performing evasive manuevers, but they are predictable which I'll take any day over tires that lose grip suddenly. These tires evacuate water well and even in deep puddles their grip is impressive. I knew up front that these tires don't perform well in snow, but I love that the tires have a lot of silica imbedded in the rubber compound.

    Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring Tire Review: As far as compact commuter cars go, my 2013 Kia Forte 5 is an appliance like any other. It's the car I leave behind when I pick up different vehicles to test each week, and even though the odometer only shows about 37,000 miles (60,000 kilometers) most of those were racked up on the highway and took a heavy toll on the tires that have been on the car since new.
